Kids in elementary school (K-6) can participate with their dads in a variety of sporting events and fundraising activities. Parents can share the values of community service with their children by participating in charitable events such as serving lunch at the Council on Aging Spaghetti Lunch in November. Elementary school age children are always welcome at Saturday Drop-Ins where they can spend time with their younger siblings and friends. There are many volunteering opportunities for children of elementary, Middle School, and High School age at the annual campout in June.
Teens in grades 8-12 can also participate in the Kids Teaching Kids program sponsored by the Weston Dads Foundation. WDF conducts events throughout the year that introduce families to all kinds of amateur sports including golf, soccer, and baseball.
We meet every first and third Saturday of the month at the Weston Community "Rec" Center for a two-hour dads and kids event where dads interact with each other and their children. Toddlers and preschoolers learn the importance of play and cooperation as they socialize with one another. The Rec Center supplies all mats, equipment, play and ride-on toys. From time to time we will take this opportunity to teach our children the importance of giving through charity drives. Dads Group activities are the perfect way to make new friends in the community and have a great time with your kids.
